"There’s no love in my heart, mummy, when you’re not here with me." – my 6 year old.
This broke my heart. My littlest clung to me when she said this, crying and asking me not to go when I dropped her back to her father. What can I say to that other than “my love is always there for you, so take that love into your heart and keep it in there; it is my gift to you and no-one can take it away – ever.”
What else can I give at the moment but my love?
