I held down a job for 18 years although I was not diagnosed until the last twelve years. t the same tome I cared for my Mother who also has Biplolar disorder. Icould not be open at work about my condition because of the amount of discrimination and lack of understanding of mental health issues in my workplace. No allownace was made and I was penalised for my mood swings. When my condition worsened and I became agrophobic my employer showed no mercy. On a positive note I fought them and won. I now work on a voluntary basis in the mental health sector and absolutely love what I do. So don't give up keep going and you never know what you can do!
