He was right. I would need a lot of help as it is a disability. At the time, I was enraged and hurt. When I thought about my children, I realized that they need both parents to be stable and well. We re-married shortly after the divorce and it is now 10 years. If we were to divorce again--I would ask 50/50 joint. It is difficult, but it can be done. I hope you get to feeling better.
